Sioux Falls Arena

My atlas shows a marker for the Sioux Falls Arena. It's in the northwest part of town south of the airport. Newer maps may include the many landmarks listed below.

What landmarks should I look for?

Sioux Falls Convention Center

There's not much too see until you're near it, this is mainly a residential part of town. What you can keep in mind is that it is due south of the airport. Russell Ave is on the north side of what has become a major complex. The ballpark was the latest part of the renovation with the skyboxes, exterior wall and more.

Originally there was only the Arena, Football (Track) field and the Bird Cage. But there has been lots of big expansion including a new Convention Center and a new Sheraton Hotel attached to them. Parking was expanded in all directions.

What you should bring with you?

Like the other Sioux counterpart, this is a warm summer park. Only a light jacket or sweatshirt is needed for night games.

Day games are bright and sunny, bring sunscreen. Since there usually a breeze, it is normally pleasant to sit through without too much heat.

Shelter from rain under the bleachers, skyboxes and canopy look adequate for brief downpours.
